Tale as old as time...

Gold, yellow and white was their theme, and Beauty and the Beast was the inspiration for this young couple's wedding cake.

My first time working with drapes...Thank you YouTube! :)

I find it much easier creating woman compared to men!! esp designing their dresses/gowns, like like a peek of the lace details underneath.

Still experimenting with flowers...this is a poppy like one....with green squiggles which adds a contrast to the colour.

I can't believe it's Christmas already....

This year has just flown by in a blink of an eye!
We have had a few life changing experiences this year.... Moving to Singapore, leaving our beloved family and friends back in KL, coping with new jobs, and the most amazing part watching our new little nephew Zach, who is a star in our lives, grow into a little man . I keep reminding myself to savour the memorable moments and learn from the difficult ones.
Well it's that time of the year for parties, merry making and bubbly. Share it with the ones you love....Let the festivities begin!
Merry Christmas everyone, in advance!

*Were you naughty or nice?*

I wanted to make something special for this party but had very limited time, so came up with the idea of this cupART "white christmas tree"arranged on their side and topped with Mr. Snowman.

Glittery snowflakes

*Chocolate chip surprise*

I had a little left over batter and decided to throw some Hershey's chocolate chips into it and it worked *yay* Topped with chocloate icing and it was good to go...
Purple posies....

It's been gloomy and raining for the past few weeks. The humidity makes my hair curl! I was afraid my flowers wouldn't hold their shape but left them in the air-conditioned room over night and they were fine (make sure you use Gum-tex)

Ballerina

Mind your P's and Q's while you are around the coolest English teacher who gives the best advice ever to her students (if you CAN'T cut your fingernails make sure you file them square, oval is so OUT!) She is a burst of energy and loves ballet, flowers and the colour pink.
Silver monogram for this classy lady.
Experimenting with more natural and realistic postures and positions of my figurines. Ballerina tying her ballet shoes.

At the restaurant after having unending servings of the best seafood!

J&D

Hilda flew down from Sabah to attend the wedding of her good friends. She wanted surprise her them with a cake for their nuptials at Villa Bali.

Delicate flowers surrounding the J & D monogram for Juan and Dana.

This hot couple performes in a Latin band here is Singapore.

Their beloved ginger cat had to be part of the celebrations...

The demure (but sexy) bride holding her bouquet of yellow roses...

The back has to be as pretty as the front especially if it's going to be viewed from all angles.

DOLPHIN

I had a lot of time to think and prepare for this cake but the pressure was on as there was a mix up in the dates at the last minute.....So not only was this a huge task to take on but now time was precious too.

Dolphin, a marine casualty claims company was celebrating their Golden Anniversary at the Fullerton Hotel and their detail oriented MD wanted a 'conversation piece' for their fabulous cocktail do.

He came up with most of the ideas on this cake! (I just executed it)....from the name of the ship right down to the tiny, tiny Captain on the deck. Thanks for being so persistent David ~grinnnn~

Dolphins to the rescue with life savers....... and in the background red crabs and barnacles on the rocks.

Their company logo..... and check out the irony of the vessel's name :)

Fire raging and smoke billowing while seagulls roam the skies....
The poor captain can do nothing but drown his sorrow with a big bottle of wine...

Cargo containers crashing into the sea.... a mayhem of colours littering the ocean.

Home Sweet Home

Not only do you get a bouquet of 'flowers' but you get to eat them too.... yum!

Cupcakes secured to a spherical floral oasis with cocktail sticks.

Attach a card and you're good to go.....

"What a weather?"

Creative and artistic flare flow through the veins of this family. From grandma to grand-daughter, they are blessed with many talents, we would be green with envy.

They wanted a special cake to celebrate her 90th birthday!.... and so provided me with lots of information and photos to assist with the design process.

This is what I came up with....
Her 2 favourite phrases flank the sides of the cake!

Grandma plays the Indian violin.
And at this age, cannot live without her Vicks!

A journal tells a concise summary of her fabulous and exciting live from 1919.
