DOLPHIN

I had a lot of time to think and prepare for this cake but the pressure was on as there was a mix up in the dates at the last minute.....So not only was this a huge task to take on but now time was precious too.

Dolphin, a marine casualty claims company was celebrating their Golden Anniversary at the Fullerton Hotel and their detail oriented MD wanted a 'conversation piece' for their fabulous cocktail do.

He came up with most of the ideas on this cake! (I just executed it)....from the name of the ship right down to the tiny, tiny Captain on the deck. Thanks for being so persistent David ~grinnnn~

Dolphins to the rescue with life savers....... and in the background red crabs and barnacles on the rocks.

Their company logo..... and check out the irony of the vessel's name :)

Fire raging and smoke billowing while seagulls roam the skies....
The poor captain can do nothing but drown his sorrow with a big bottle of wine...

Cargo containers crashing into the sea.... a mayhem of colours littering the ocean.

Home Sweet Home

Not only do you get a bouquet of 'flowers' but you get to eat them too.... yum!

Cupcakes secured to a spherical floral oasis with cocktail sticks.

Attach a card and you're good to go.....

"What a weather?"

Creative and artistic flare flow through the veins of this family. From grandma to grand-daughter, they are blessed with many talents, we would be green with envy.

They wanted a special cake to celebrate her 90th birthday!.... and so provided me with lots of information and photos to assist with the design process.

This is what I came up with....
Her 2 favourite phrases flank the sides of the cake!

Grandma plays the Indian violin.
And at this age, cannot live without her Vicks!

A journal tells a concise summary of her fabulous and exciting live from 1919.
