Pretty simple....

I've always loved coconut cupcakes but I think I've found a new favourite! Yummy strawberry...and it's pink inside. Perfect for little girls... or girls or any age ~yay~

My girl Anita.

She's gonna pop very very soon.... it'll be a whole new beginning for my sister & Jimmy. It's gonna be a boy for them so I'd better think up ideas for little boy cupcakes soon....

Super Mario!

I got a call the other day, she sounded quite anxious over the phone. Her usual cake lady had to pull out at the last minute! She needed a Super Mario cake and cupcakes ASAP!
I'm glad I took the challenge for this lovely lady...
Did my research and sculpted my first Mario. He is such a cute fellow! It was a joy...

I wanted him to burst out of the cake so added ~*#Crash!$^%Boom!#*~ around him.

The chequered effect pulls the cake and cupcakes together.

That moustache!

This little boy's mum provided me with these adorable 3D magnets which brought life to the chocolate cuppies.

Surrounded by the rest of the cupcakes....plus a few more in the box.

In celebration of their love

It's an indian tradition to renew your marriage vows when you reach a certain milestone of your life. For this amazing couple, he turned 80 and she 70! I recreated a scene from their youth showing his humorous side and her 'garang' side :)

Beautiful with her beauty mark....

Jasmine buds falling over an offering tray. All of these were made out of fondant and painted on with edible gold dust and piping gel to give that shine.

A design to represent a kolam...

He's an ENT specialist and she's an accountant hence the abacus.....

...a diagnostic otoscope and a Henkal ethmoid punch.

Aawwww...... ~sigh~

Dinosaurs...GRrrrr!

Shreeman has been teaching all of us about dinosaurs since he was 2 so I had ample time to think up a special cake for him.... At first I wanted to do the characters from Land Before Time as it is his all time favourite DVD but I decided today that I wanted him to be part of the cake. And believe me he can recreate the growl of a T-rex to the tee so this is him imitating it *heehee*

Since this is my first dinosaur (minus Barney!) it took me 1 hour to complete this T-rex.

The most time consuming part were his teeth.....rolled each and everyone of it individually, then the mucous membranes and the tongue. Bear in mind my amazing helpers are no more so I am all alone here in Singapore *boohoo*

Brontosaurus was next. He was easier.

Fondant Shreeman was even easier and I must say he actually looks like the birthday boy!

Dino footprints on the side...

Pteradactyl..... don't be afraid to use colouring like paint with a brush to give this 3D effect on the dinosaurs.

The good thing about dinosaurs is you can never go wrong...do whatever you like, mould them, shape them just the way you like them and no one can correct you. :)
