I got a call the other day, she sounded quite anxious over the phone. Her usual cake lady had to pull out at the last minute! She needed a Super Mario cake and cupcakes ASAP! I'm glad I took the challenge for this lovely lady...

I wanted him to burst out of the cake so added ~*#Crash!$^%Boom!#*~ around him.
The chequered effect pulls the cake and cupcakes together.

This little boy's mum provided me with these adorable 3D magnets which brought life to the chocolate cuppies.
Surrounded by the rest of the cupcakes....plus a few more in the box.

I know i've said this before - but Serena - you and your edible works of art never cease to amaze and floor me! They are awesome la!! You have truly found your calling - heck - you were born to do this! All opther cakes pale in comparison!
AdrianT: I think chocolate cake taste the best with chocolate icing so I was afraid the cake might look a bit boring for a 7 year old so I added all the little accents to give it a burst of colour...sometimes there is a reason for the added details :)
