When I got an order for another Star Wars cake I immediately decided that it would look like a poster as I had seen so many amazing ones before.... So did my research on all the planes and battleships and chose the Trade Federation Battleship in the background with Luke, Yoda & Chewy in the foreground. The former 2 turned out well I think but Chewy looks really scary! He was hard to do....

I had the picture of this design in my mind with the midnight sky effect but didn't know how to execute it as I haven't been for any formal decorating classes so as usual Mamafia came to the rescue. She went for classes in the 70's and she still remembered... and had lots of handy tips to give me...Tip: After pumping black butter icing, place patches of blue and cream icing in clumps. Press them down in a smudgy way, then use a spatula to spread it out ~artistically~ to give that marbled effect.
